Yahoo to Release New Look for Yahoo Groups Email Messages
I'm sure that Yahoo Groups service is not a foreign element to you. In fact, Yahoo Groups email messages are part of my inbox goodies everyday.
Currently, the individual email messages and scheduled digests sent by Yahoo Groups looks practically like an ordinary email sent directly from the sender. Though it's serving very well on the core purpose of broadcasting email messages in mass, but Yahoo has taken some efforts to further enhance the looks and usability of Yahoo Groups email messages, needless to mention to leverage another room of potential advertising channel as well.
Following are the sneak preview for the new look of individual email and daily digest.

As shown, there are direct links to various sections of the group, such as Files, Photos and Database. The footer is also better branded to indicate Yahoo Groups service. In addition to the UI changes, the new feature that attracted my attention the most, is the grouping of messages by topic, as seen in Gmail. This will help in tracking a series of related messages, especially for people who have out-dated from the track for ages, which usually seen in inactive group member.
Despite the welcoming changes which helps usability, Yahoo is also taking the opportunity to gain advertising opportunity, with a few textual sponsored links shown on the right.
