Install and Use Windows Live Messenger without Invitation

No, this is not another post teaching you the tricks of cracking Windows Live Messenger and use it non-legitimately without invitation. Yes, you got it right, the Windows Live Messenger aka MSN Messenger 8 is now available for public download and sign-in without the need to invitation.
You no longer need to go around asking for invitation. Just visit http://get.live.com/messenger/overview, and download the latest version of Windows Live Messenger will do.
I've been using the Windows Live Messenger Beta for about 6 months, with default interface changing for 3 times - from a blueish, to a grayish, and now a better blend of emerald tones.
Well, interface is not everything to me. The new feature in Windows Live Messenger that I like the most, is the ability for you to send offline messages. Yes you heard it right, finally offline message is supported. Recipient will receive the offline messages you sent, on the next time he/she sign-in.
The Windows Live Messenger is only supported by Windows XP, and Internet Explorer 6 SP1 (not a must to be default) must be installed as well.
Updated - 22 June 2006
The Windows Live Messenger is finally released from Beta into finalized version.
