Google Trends as SEO Tool to Complement Overture Keyword Selector

It's time for Google buzzes again. Information about the new Google Desktop which comes with desktop widgets comparable to Yahoo Widgets called Gadgets, is flooding the web news channels now.

Google Trends allows us to visually compare the traffic of two or more searches in line graph. At one glance, you will know how the searches in comparison are performing over the time. This is especially useful in keyword optimization. For example, the historical state of Melaka in Malaysia, is known with another English name called Malacca as well. Foreigners usually address this historical state as Malacca instead of Melaka. So, using the Google Trends, we can easily identify the searching trends of these 2 keywords.
